The Friends of the IDF have a saying: "Their job is to look after Israel. Ours is to look after them." Join us to hear Rabbi Hammer present a talk on the role of the spiritual soldier in the IDF. Rabbi Shalom Hammer Rabbi Hammer served as a Rabbi in the IDF and currently teaches at Yeshiva Hesder Kiryat Gat\Sderot. He delivers lectures around the world. Most recently, he is a guest lecturer for the Rabbanut branch of the IDF to help motivate soldiers and he is a contributing writer for the JPost. I personally toured the schools Rabbi Hammer teaches at in Sderot and in nearby Qiryat Gat in the summer of 2009. These boys are in need of books and boots.
Dessert and light refreshments will be served. Free to attend. Open to all. Contributions for soldiers/yeshiva students are welcomed and appreciated.
